Welcome to the CEC Website.

The Community Enterprise Community Peace Corps Thailand was begun in 2005 by several Group 117 CBOD(Community-Based Organizational Development) volunteers. In addition to:

• developing the start of a data base of successful businesses organizations assisted by PCVs in Thailand as a networking source for future PCVs and their counterparts,
• developing an audio dictionary of usful Thai-English business prases for self-learning opportunities for future PCVs
• and conducting a very successful first annual CEC Conference in the Fall of 2006 for PCVs and their counterparts

the CEC has continued into the service of Group 118. Current and future plans include:

• the development of this website as a networking and information resource for PCVs and their counterparts
• the development of a training manual for PCVs working in small enterprise development and business cooperatives
• and conducting another CEC Conference in the Fall of 2007.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Community Enterprise Committee of Peace Corps Thailand (CEC) will strive to serve as an efficient resource for Peace Corps Volunteers (PCV), Thai-national counterparts, and the PCV’s local community for information, trainings, and contacts regarding the field of local income generation and small business development in Thailand.
